Brian J. Bode

Brian John Bode was born March 12, 1968, in Algona, son of Marvin John and Patricia Marie (Dorweiler) Bode. He grew up in Algona graduating from Algona High School in 1987. He then attended DMACC in Ankeny. Brian worked in Algona following college at Pizza Hut. He moved to Robinsdale, MN and worked at Red Lobster. Following his father's death in October, 1992, Brian moved to Mason City. He worked at General Foods, Computer Systems, Shopko, and Papa's American Café where he was employed at the time of his death. Brian enjoyed watching most sports and he was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He also enjoyed cooking, fishing, and being with his family and friends. In his youth he enjoyed making up and putting on skits with his brothers and sisters. Brian always had a friendly smile and a boisterous laugh. Brian died Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Mason City, at the age of 45. e is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, Amanda Larkin, Zane, and Gunnar Bode of Greenfield, OH, Elizabeth, Deianeira, and Arieanna Grage of Rockwell City, Brooke, Zach, and Luke McKenna of Algona, Taylor Bode-Thyne of New Hampshire, and Noah and Camryn Bode of Oakley, CA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by father, Marvin Bode; his nephew Tanner Bode; his grandparents; and three uncles, Ray Dorweiler, Jerald Bode, and Roger Bode.
