t Shady Oak just south of Fort Dodge. He attended Shady Oaks School and graduated from Otho high school in 1942. Dale served in the U.S. Navy in Australia and the Philippines from 1943 through 1945 where he had an honorable discharge. He then worked at Shady Oaks Brick Yard, Johnston Clay Works, and Gralenk Motors. In January 17, 1952, he was united in marriage to Lois G. Faiferlick and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Dale went to work for Shimkat Motors where he worked for 19 ½ years and retired in 1988. Dale enjoyed watching Braves Baseball, Ball Room dancing, and jig saw puzzles.
