Mary Alice Skiles

Mary Alice Skiles, 88, of Keokuk, died Monday, July 29, 2013, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Mary was born August 23, 1924, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Orrin and Alice Welsh Sohl. She married Melvin Skiles in Keokuk. She was a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Skiles (Tony) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Sarah Boudreau (Don) of Keokuk; ten grandchildren, Drew, Dayton, Ted, Alec and Isabelle Waddelow, Pat O'Shea, J.D. Boudreau, Ben, Jack and Jesse Skiles; and ten great grandchildren, Kirsten, Zechariah, Isaiah, Waylon, Connor, Starr, Aliciandra, Jeremiah, Kylee and Tanner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; a son, Kurt Skiles; and a grandson, Nathan Boudreau. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2013, at All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Spring officiating. Burial will follow in Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 4, with family meeting friends from 4-7:00 PM at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 1212 Concert St. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7:00 PM.
