Betty E. White

Betty White, 93, of Dumont, Iowa passed away, August 1, 2013, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa.  She was born October 3, 1919, in Enschede, Holland to Jan and Betje (Kroeze) Arends.  Betty attended rural Butler County country schools.  She was married on October 10, 1943, in Dumont, Iowa, to Wallace White.  Betty was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church in Dumont, Iowa.  She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and word searches.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very proud to be a great grandma and great-great grandma.  Betty is survived by her daughter Carol & husband Lew Huff of Dumont, grandson Allen & wife Tammy Huff of Owatonna, Minnesota, granddaughter Angie & husband Gary Diekman of Owatonna, Minnesota, grandson Aaron & wife Tracy Huff of Dumont, great grandchildren Carrie Huff, Joshua Huff and special friend Katey Doty, Kali Diekman, Hailey and Hannah Finch, great great grandson Ryan Johnson, sister-in-laws Beverly Richard of Stewartville, Minnesota, Kathleen White of Belmond and Wilma White of Minnesota.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great grandson Derek Diekman, brother John, s...[more]
