Dennis W. Fry

Mr. Dennis W. Fry, 71, of Gladstone, Illinois died at 3:02 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Great River Hospice House. Born May 11, 1942 in Burlington, he was the son of Lee and Maxine (Ramsey) Fry. On September 22, 1961 he married Wanda Martin in Denmark. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1995. Mr. Fry was an electrician for 50 years for Local Electricians Union #13. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Randy (Kelly) Fry of West Burlington and Rick (Lori) Fry of Bondurant; special friend, Jackie Edwards of Gladstone; four grandchildren, Madison Fry and McKenzie Fry of West Burlington and Jonathan Fry and Jason Fry of Bondurant; one brother, Mike (Theresa) Fry of Burlington and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Gerald and Richard. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29th, at Lunning Chapel. The funeral service for Mr. Fry will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 30th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Martin Goetz officiating. Private inurnment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
