Paul Dennis Pingel

Paul D. Pingel, 64, of Fort Dodge, died on Monday, September 9, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14th, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Willer officiating. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Fort Dodge; children, Dr. Jaclyn "Scott" Anderson of Gurnee, IL; Jolene "Joshua" Hays of Fort Dodge; Benjamin "Amy" Pingel of Badger; Samantha "Tyler" Riesberg of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Alexandra and Peyton Hays, Brek and Jake Pingel, and Barrett Anderson; brothers, Daniel "Dwayna" Pingel of Marysville, CA; Douglas Pingel of Visalia, CA; Louis Pingel of Adel; and his sister-in-law, Peg Pingel of Clive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Charlotte (Savage) Pingel, brother, David Pingel, an infant sister, Mary Elizabeth; and his sisters-in-law, Judy and Charlotte Pingel. College before receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture from Iowa State University. He returned to Fort Dodge where he farmed his entire life. On June 2, 1973 he was united in marriage to Linda Jacobson. Paul was always a hard worker who enjoyed life and loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, family gatherings, and especially the holidays. Paul was the past president of the NEW Cooperative Board of Directors for many years. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
