Robert E. Duncan
MUSCATINE, Iowa--Robert E. Duncan, 79, of Muscatine, died on September 14, 2013.
No services are planned. Burial will take place in Old Concord Cemetery, Austin, Kentucky. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with local arrangements. Memorial gifts may be sent in his memory to The Resource Exchange, 418 South Weber Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Robert was born on December 21, 1933, in Austin, Kentucky, the son of Arthur and Bessie Bewley Duncan and grew up in Taylor Ridge, Illinois.
Upon graduation from Reynolds High School he joined the U.S. Air Force.
After his military service, he entered college and graduated with a degree in business from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas. He retired from the U.S. Department of Labor in Denver, Colorado, where he served as the Director of Training.
He is survived by three children, Lori Weaver of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mark Duncan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and David Duncan and wife, Tracy, of Draper, Utah; six grandchildren; his mother, Bessie Duncan of Aledo, Illinois; a sister; Oleta Erichsen of Moline, Illinois, and a brother, Jim ...[more]
