Michael Bernard Donahue

Michael B. Donahue, age 76 of Newton, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Foursquare Church in Newton, with burial following at Dunreath Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Memorials may be directed to Foursquare Church in Newton and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The son of Royal James and Bernice (Adams) Donahue, Mike was born on December 15, 1936, in Newton, Iowa. Mike was a heavy equipment operator for Pella Corp and Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella before his retirement. He was a member of the Foursquare Church in Newton and the Izaak Walton League. He enjoyed cars, trucks, Reasnor Softball and anything John Deere and was an avid collector. He also enjoyed card games and traveling in his later years.
