Marie Mueller of Whitefish Bay and Random Lake, passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Horizon Hospice in Mequon. She was 101 years old. Marie was born in Fredonia on July 4, 1912, the second child of Joseph Schmit and Barbara Lauters Schmit. Marie grew up in Fredonia, and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1930. She was one of the last members of her high school class. On November 16, 1939 she married Edgar Mueller at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Fredonia. He preceded her in death in 1993. Marie was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and bird watching. Marie is survived by her three children; Lou Helen (Charles) Kirschling of Whitefish Bay, Harry (Karen) Mueller of Cedarburg and Paul (Deb) Mueller of Random Lake. She is further survived by seven grandchildren; Anne (Bernard) Broda, Mark (Cheryl) Mueller, Nick (Joanne) Mueller, Kristen (Brian) Wratney, Elizabeth (Dan) Krebsbach, Joseph C. her relatives including Sister Marian Blong, SSND and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Edgar, two sisters Gertrude Schiferl and Helen Meyer and two brothers Paul and Vincent Schmit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2st at 12:30 PM at St. Monica Catholic Church, 160 E. Silver Spring Dr., Whitefish Bay. Father Jacob Strand will preside. She will be laid to rest next to Edgar at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Wednesday, October 2st from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), ALS or the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
