Robert L. King CORALVILLE, Iowa--Robert Lloyd King, 93, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Coralville. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery will full military rites by the combined units of the V.F.W. Post 1565 and the American Legion Post 27. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Faith United Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Faith United Church of Christ in Robert's name. Robert was born on December 20, 1919, in Muscatine, the son of Lawrence C. and Melinda E. Garvin King. On October 2, 1949, Robert was united in marriage to Norma June Slater in Muscatine. He was employed by Linwood Stone Company as a heavy equipment operator for 35 years. g time with his grandchildren. Robert will be deeply missed by his daughter, Nancy E. Victora and husband, Ernest, of Omaha, Nebraska; a son, Dr. Terry S. King and wife, Kathleen, of Muncie, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Andrew King of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Jonathan King of Berkeley, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2007; two sisters, Phyllis Bennett and Madelyn Williams; and two brothers, Leroy W. and Charles L. King.
