Fred Ferrell, of Deerbrook, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 74 years old. He was born on April 19, 1939 in Tennessee a son of Clara Belle Ferrell. He married Nancy Wilke on December 27, 1958 in Milwaukee. She survives. He served in the United States Army from September 2, 1958 to May 16, 1962 stationed in Germany and continued his service in the United States Army Reserves being honorably discharged on September 1, 1964. He was a Machinist for Briggs and Stratton in West Allis for 30 years retiring in 2003. He moved to Deerbook from Burlington in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends at the cabin in Deerbrook. In addition to his wife survivors include two daughters, Melody (Robert) Bernard of Burlington and Violet Clausen; a son, Jerry (Christine) Ferrell of Rosemount, Minn; nine grandchildren, Nicholas (Courtney) Gardner of East Troy, Nicole Shilling of Minneapolis, Minn, Scott Turner, Crystal, Catherine, Calvin and Cassandra Clausen, Kacey and Mason Ferrell both of Rosemount, Minn; a great-granddaughter, Calan Shilling; fou...[more]

isters, Irene Hollis of Tenn, Ruth (Layton) Phillips of Ind, Etta (Tom) Colwell of Wis and Barb Willett of Wis; three brothers, Bud (Pat) Smith of N.M., Pat (Missy) Reynolds of Ky. and Mike Reynolds of Wis; and his faithful friend, Breeze. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Keehn; and three brothers, CL Vickers, Charlie Reynolds, and Tommy Reynolds. Burial will take place at a later date at the Lakeside Cemetery in Kempster. A special thank you to Dr. Deep and LeRoyer Hospice for the special care given to Fred.
