Dateline: Allen, NE William "Bill" L. Snyder, 87, of Allen, NE passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE as a result of Alzheimer's. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Allen, NE with Rev. Lorri Kentner officiating. Private family burial will be in Eastview Cemetery in rural Allen with military rites conducted by the Allen American Legion. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE. Bill was born on August 27, 1926 in Belden, NE, the son of Rodney and Elsie (Emry) Snyder. He married Pearl Boeshart on October 18, 1947. Bill served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at the Allen Bank for over thirty-five years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Allen Fire and Rescue squad for many years, and was a sixty-six year member of the American Legion.
