Ann Frances Sullivan

Ann F. Sullivan, 87, of Fort Dodge died Tuesday November 19, 2013 at her home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 23rd, in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary at 4:30 and a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. all at the funeral home. Ann is survived by her sons, James (Betty) Sullivan , Timothy Sullivan both of Fort Dodge; daughter Linda (Mike) Pierson of Garwin; grandchildren, Kellie (Ben) Carstens, Dan Sullivan, Aaron (Tanya) Pierson, and Warren Pierson; great grandchildren, Cooper and Adam Pierson; sister-in-law, Irma Murphy-Peterson of Phoenix, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Artie and Nell (McLaughlin) Murphy; husband, Robert D. Sullivan; and an infant twin brother, Frances Joseph Murphy, and her brothers, Leon, William, Ray, and Gene Murphy; and her sister, Mary Wall. Ann Frances Murphy was born on April 6, 1926 in Fonda. tion she went to work for Telephone Co in Des Moines. She then moved to Fort Dodge where she went to work for the Fort Dodge Messenger. On December 28, 1946 Ann was united in marriage to Robert D. Sullivan. The couple made their home on the Sullivan Century farm south of Fort Dodge. Farming with her family was one of the greatest joy of her life. She was also a private duty care taker at Webster County Care Facility for many years. Besides spending her winters in southern Florida, Ann enjoyed traveling especially her trips to Ireland. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
