Joshua Vaughn Behrends

Joshua Vaughn Behrends was born on August 9, 1991, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Robert and Debra (McKercher) Behrends. He was baptized in Dell Rapids, South Dakota in October 1991. Josh lived in Dell Rapids with his family until 1996, at the age of 5, they moved to Windom, Minnesota. He received his education from the Windom Public Schools and graduated in 2010. After high school, Josh attended Minnesota West in Worthington for generals and pre-nursing. Josh received his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the age of 16. He worked for many years as a CNA at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom and Colonial Manor in Lakefield. Recently, Josh was employed at Pioneer Seed in Jackson, Minnesota where he was a Seed Organizer. Josh passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his home in rural Windom at the age of 22. Josh will be remembered as driven like his Dad and kind-hearted like his Mom. He was a good listener and friend to everyone. He enjoyed working out, hunting, boxing, motorcycling, and most of all beatboxing. His future plans had begun in joining the family business of Behrends Trucking.
