Marion Louise Fox
Marion Louise Fox passed away at the age of 81 on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton, Iowa. A visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Vigil at 6:30 p.m. Marion is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Osborn and her husband Gary of Minneapolis, MN; Katherine Ann Hamilton and her husband Tom of Dallas, TX; Jerome Fox of Iowa City; Helen Marie Fox of Schuyler, NE; Joseph Fox and his wife Kathi of Grimes; Lora Lee Kessler and her husband Rick of Richland; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Hillyard of Springfield, MO and James Jones of Richardson, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Grace (Misner) Hillyard; and husband, Jerome J. Fox in 2011. Marion Louise Hillyard was born October 11, 1932 in Bethany, Missouri. 1953 Marion was united to Jerome Fox in Wellington, MO. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Besides being a homemaker, Marion worked at Trinity Regional Medical Center in the Records Department as a coder for many years and later as a switch board operator at Friendship Haven until her retirement. Marion's hobbies were china doll creating and painting, crocheting, reading, doing the crypt-o-quotes, participating in bowling leagues, and she also loved to cook for her loving family during the holidays.
