Harold George Thiel

Harold Thiel, age 89 years, formerly of Port Washington and Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. He was born February 23, 1924 in Town of Fredonia, son of the late William and Elizabeth Wendtland Thiel. On Sept 11, 1947, he married Virginia Watry at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. She preceded him in death in 2002. Mr. Thiel worked as a machinist at Simplicity Mfg. in Port Washington for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family. Survivors include his five children Robert (Sandi) Thiel of Fredonia, Harold R. Thiel of West Bend, Gary (Jennifer) Thiel of Beaver Dam, Karen (the late Steve) Konitzer of Manawa and Jeff (Jean Roller) Thiel of Belgium, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 brother in law Vince Weyker, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
