Dolores Elaine Doughty

Dolores Doughty, 84, of Fort Dodge, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the First Evangelical Free Church in Fort Dodge with Rev. Scott Hatton officiating. Dolores' wishes were to be cremated. Burial be at North Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge. Dolores is survived by her husband, Cleo; two children, Katherine Doughty of Cedar Falls, IA and David (Stephanie) Doughty of Fort Dodge; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Earl and Arthur Kallansrud. She is preceded in death by her son, Dale Doughty in April of 2013, a grandson, her parents, and three brothers, Jimmie, Dennis and Buddy. Dolores Kallansrud, the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Johnson) Kallansrud, was born August 29, 1929 in Fort Dodge and in 1947, she graduated from Fort Dodge High School. fe. From 1972 until her retirement, Dolores worked at the Safeway and Fareway Grocery Stores in Fort Dodge. In her free time Dolores loved spending time with her husband Cleo, her children, grandchildren and her dog Jessie. She enjoyed gardening, feeding her birds and reading. Dolores was currently a member at the First Evangelical Free Church in Fort Dodge. She was a past member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Dodge where she has served as a Sunday school teacher of 18 years. Dolores loved being involved in Christian Women and her Bible Study Group. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
