William Herman Meeks

Meeks, William Herman III, 74, of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. Bill was born December 30, 1939 in Fort Lauderdale to Walter Herman and Elise (McGuire) Meeks. A graduate of Princeton University, University of Florida Law School, New York University and a respected attorney in Broward County for nearly 50 years. He practiced law for Dobbins, Meeks, Raleigh and Dover LLP and belonged to the Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association, University of Florida Alumni Association, and Lauderdale Yacht Club. He is survived by children: Gennifer C. Jett of Jacksonville, William H. (Brenda) Meeks IV of Orlando, and Julie M. (Scott) Davis of Alpharetta, GA, and grandchildren: Ryker, Riley, Reese, Parker, Addison, Ella, and Ashley. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathleen Lenhardt. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery, 2001 SW 4th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.
