She was a talented seamstress who dressed her daughters impeccably making and designing their clothes when they were younger. She was a great cook, and a family historian. Those left to honor Althea's memory include her husband, Bill George of Bellevue, IA; a daughter, Shirley (Rev. Dr. Jack) Reents of Ocala, FL; 3 step-children, Clyde, Douglas and Mary Jo; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Max, a daughter Janet, 2 brothers Lloyd and LeRoy Gnade, 2 half-brothers Harold and Bill Gnade, and a half-sister Emelie Diesing.
