Irma S. Bierman

Irma S. Bierman was born on August 8, 1924, in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to the late George and Esther (Fennern) Kruse. She was baptized at a young age at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township and later confirmed in that same church. She received her public education in country school District 67. She worked at Petrius Produce in Sleepy Eye and the St. John Hospital and Nursing Home in Springfield. On June 5, 1948, Irma was united in marriage to Wallace Bierman at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township. This marriage was blessed with four children, Carolyn, Lowell, David and Gaylen. Irma and Wallace made their home in Jeffers. Through the years, Irma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who took care of her family. In June of 2011, Irma became a resident of the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, where she passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at the age of 89 years. Irma was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers where she taught Sunday school for several years and was also the secretary of the ladies aid for many years. Irma is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Wallace Bierman of Springfield; four children, Carolyn (Emil) Trnka of St. Peter and their children, Emily (Karl) Fischer and Laura Trnka; Lowell (Pat) Bierman of Windom and their children, Chad (Lyndi) Bierman, Elyse and Evelyn, Molly (Shawn) Hinchley, Brianne and Ava, Reece (Erika) Bierman, Charlotte, Callie (Dan) Bremseth; David and Joan Bierman of Jeffers and their children, Chase and Nathan Bierman; Gaylen (Karen) Bierman of Marshall and their child, Katlyn (Cody) Richter and their children, Grace and Annie; two brothers, Louis Kruse of Winsted and Delbert (Geri) Kruse of Stillwater, MN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Esther Kruse of Pipestone, MN; Arlene Kruse of Hutchinson, MN; Fern (Wayne) Kothke of Watertown, SD; Orv (Elaine) Bierman of Eau Claire, WI; Doris Bierman of Jeffers, MN; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
