Doris Croatt-Watry

Doris Watry, age 85 years of Belgium, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1928 in Fredonia, daughter of the late Peter and Rosalia (nee Paulus) Steffen. On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Robert Croatt. He preceded her in death in 1973. On August 7, 1992, she married Richard Watry. He preceded her in death in 2003. Doris was a member of Divine Savior Parish and was a long-time member of the St Mary Lake Church choir and Christian Mothers Society. She was also a member of the Belgium American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her four children Jeffrey (Cathy) Croatt of Germantown, Judith (Guy) Theune of Mequon, Sandra (the late David) Pfeiffer of West Bend, and Thomas (Kaye) Croatt of Cedar Grove, six step-children: Robert (Jane) Watry of Sheboygan, Diane (John) Ruschak of Noblesville, IN, David (Karen) Watry of Cedar Grove, Debra (Al) Martinez of Belgium, Joyce (Randal) Dieck of West Bend and Lisa (Tim) Frank of Hales Corners, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, her sister Bernice Croatt of Scottsdale, AZ, her brother Kenneth (Geraldine) Steffen of DePere, sister in law Harriet (Carl) Hense...[more]

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her son Roger Croatt and her step-son Wayne Watry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday evening, March 20, 5 PM at Divine Savior Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 Hwy. B, Belgium, with Fr. Jim Ernster presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lake Church. Visitation at the CHURCH Thursday from 3-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Vision Forward Association (vision-forward.org) appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Belgium, is assisting the family with arrangements.
