Burdett L. Larson

Burdett Leo Larson, son of Aage and Mary (Nelson) Larson was born on November 19, 1924 in Storden, Minnesota. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in the fall of 1936 under Evangelist E. L. Peterson. He was baptized in 1938 by Rev. Fred W. Madson and joined the Storden Baptist Church. Burdett received his education at the Double Lakes District School. He remained at home and helped his Dad farm. In June of 1946, Burdett was united in marriage to Florence Erickson. To this union two daughters were born, Ruthann and Rebecca. They lived on the south shore of Double Lakes where Burdett farmed. After several years, they moved to Storden where Burdett worked in various agricultural- related fields. They later lived south of Storden, in Jeffers and Westbrook. In December of 2010, Burdett and Florence became residents of the Good Samaritan Society-Westbrook. Florence passed away on January 17, 2011. Burdett lived at Good Samaritan until passing away on March 20, 2014 at the age of 89. rpentry work. He enjoyed gardening, crafts and games and most of all loved spending time with his family. He loved to haul his kids and grandchildren in the trailer behind the lawn mower. Burdett is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Earl) Mostoller of Interlachen, FL; Becky (Merle) Bailey of Lincoln, NE; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruth (Stanley) Madson of Westbrook; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Florence Larson; three grandsons, Jeremy Bailey, Steven Parsons, and Jerry Hernandez; an infant great-granddaughter; one sister, Ione Larson; one brother, Lloyd (Margie) Larson; two nephews, Rick and Jim Larson; one sister-in-law, Hazel (Grover) Busk; and one brother-in-law, Raymond (Mary) Erickson.
