DAVID PLOWMAN MUSCATINE, Iowa - David Leon Plowman, 77, of Muscatine, died on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Bruce Martin will officiate. Honorary bearers will be Zachary Plowman, Joey Story and Mike Yocom. Casket bearers will be Kody Plowman, Andrew Plowman, Brandon Story, Justin Story, Kelly Best, and Matt Adams. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the funeral home. David was born on April 7, 1936, in Letts, the son of Francis Leon and Helen Merle Martin Plowman. He married Nancy Kay Seiler on March 7, 1959, in Muscatine. He was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Grain Processing Corporation in 1994, after 34 years of employment. He enjoyed having cookouts and having his boys and family over to the house.
