David Levermann, 51, of Glenwood, passed away on April 1, 2014 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Memorials:Glenwood Fire and Rescue, American Heart Association or Donor's Choice David Werner Levermann son of Bernard and Aleta Pierce Levermann was born on March 13, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Glenwood High School in the Class of 1981. On April 27, 1985 he married Mary Lou Pointer in Plattsmouth, NE. Their marriage was blessed with two boys, Tyler and Jason. David worked at the State School as a driver in food service until 1997. He started Levermann Trucking where he was an owner/operator for 5 years. David then went to work for Schildberg Construction. In 2002 he started working at Omaha Airport Authority as ground maintenance. ns often having his family "kiss" his Washington Redskins football. David enjoyed grilling and smoking meats, but most of all he loved his family. David enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and his two sons were his pride and joy. David was so proud to see them start their families and blessed him with two grandsons with another on the way. David is preceded in death by his father, Bernard; his maternal and paternal grandparents. David is survived by his wife, Mary of 28 years; sons, Tyler (Jolina) Levermann and Jason (Kayla) Levermann; grandsons, Nolan and Gavin; mother, Aleta (Gerald) Stady all of Glenwood; brother, Robert Levermann of Omaha, NE, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of many friends.
