James "Jake" Lee Rowe, 55, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Norman and Marlene Rowe of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with Deacon Dan Carney officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.
James was born August 24, 1958 at the Hancock County Hospital in Britt, Iowa. Jim attended the Fort Dodge Catholic Schools and graduated from St. Edmond High School in 1977. He was employed at the Fort Dodge Creamery then finished his working career at Electrolux in Webster City when they closed the facility. Jim's interests were Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and various musical groups of the 70's and 80's. Jim was a people person.
Jim is survived by his parents; siblings, Deborah (Dan) O'Connor of Fort Dodge, Jerry (Prudy) Rowe of Colorado Springs, Co., Sandra (Mike) Luckenbill of Overland Park, KS, and Mark Rowe of Harrison, AR.
