Fran O'Brien, 69, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, while surrounded by her loved ones at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the United Methodist Church of Dakota City, NE with Rev. Joy Savage officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Fran was born on October 10, 1944 in rural Ponca, NE, the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (Orricer) Miller. She grew up in Sioux City, IA. She married Pat O'Brien on June 4, 1974 in Dakota City, NE. She was a groundbreaker for women at IBP/Tyson, where she worked in management until her retirement. After retirement she was very active in her church, the United Methodist Church of Dakota City, NE. She enjoyed flower gardening at her home and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Pat O'Brien of South Sioux City, NE; daughter, Teresa Terrell of Sioux City, IA; two brothers, Ralph (Judy) Miller of Paulina, IA and Gene Miller of Sioux City, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
