Vivian J. Williams

Vivian Jeanette Anders Williams was born on October 2, 1918 in Litchfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Walter and Mary Anders. She was raised on a farm with six brothers and graduated from Litchfield High School. On September 18, 1942, she married her hometown sweetheart, Harold, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Vivian spent her life devoted to her husband, her three children and their families. She loved cooking, gardening, crafting, volunteering and was always active in her church. Vivian was a gracious hostess and loved entertaining family and friends. She spent 20 golden years of retirement in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas before returning to Minnesota in 2005. Losing her husband after 70 years of marriage, she spent the last year of her life at Gracewood Senior Living in North Branch, Minnesota. As age caught up with her, bringing with it the challenges of living with diminished sight and poor hearing, she continued to set an example of aging with dignity and grace. She is deeply missed by her children, Dick (Heather) Williams, Janet Briguet (Mike Kolodjski), and Alan (Cammy) Williams; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, brother, Vernon Anders; many other family and friends. Vivian's family would like to thank Gracewood Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care and support. A memorial service to honor Vivian's life will be at 11:30 AM Friday, May 9th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake with a gathering beginning at 10:30 AM until time of service. A private family interment will be held in Acacia Park Memorial Gardens, Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Memorials preferred.
