Thomas David Mitchell April 4, 1953 - May 14, 2014 Thomas David Mitchell of Hollywood, passed away on May 14, 2014. He was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Annelu and George Mitchell. Tom moved to Hollywood, Florida at the age of 3 where he grew up and made many life-long friends who referred to him as "Tommy." He was a graduate of Nova High School in 1971. He was a devoted husband to his wife Joy, married in 1975. Joy gave birth to their daughter Monique in 1981 who he dubbed his "pride and joy." His devotion as a son, husband, father, brother and uncle was one of his greatest attributes. He was the proud owner of his business "Your Kind of Lawn Care Service" for over 30 years, always very distinctive in his green and yellow t-shirt. Noted for his long hair, Tom was a rebel with a big heart. He was a father-figure and mentor to many of the neighborhood children as his home was often a gathering place. In his spare time he enjoyed watching football, mainly Notre Dame of course. Fishing was another favorite pastime of his as well as attending gun shows since he was an avid gun and knife collector. More than anything Tom was a witty fun-loving jokester who leaves behind many fond memories of his crazy and spontaneous antics. Everyone who knew him will have an everlasting memory, a "Tom" story of their very own to cherish. Tom was survived by his wife, Joy Mitchell; his daughter, Monique Mitchell; mother, Annelu Mitchell; father, George Mitchell; brother, George (Butch) Mitchell; sister, Rebecca Tiger; son-like, Robert SanPedro and wife Sharon SanPedro; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
