Passed away peacefully Friday, May 16, 2014, in Brookfield, WI. Bob was born on May 23, 1937, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up learning to hunt and fish with his father, brother and many family friends. He developed an early interest in collecting and electronics, turning these into a lifetime of hobbies. He passed many of these interests onto his children, grandchildren and friends. He graduated from Cretin High School in 1955 and married his grade school sweetheart, Marci Lamb, 2 years later. They celebrated their 56th anniversary last year. Together, they raised 4 children in their loving homes in St. Paul, MN, Mequon, WI and Crystal Lake, IL. After high school, he joined the Air National Guard where he received formal training in electronics. His interest and education in electronics landed him in the x-ray industry where he was spent his entire career. He began as a serviceman repairing equipment and retired as a VP of Quality - at 55! Upon retirement in 1992, Bob and Marci relocated to the shores of Lake Superior, in Bayfield, WI. They built their dream house which featured a beautiful view of Madeline Island. o this wonderful home, introducing so many to this beautiful area of northern Wisconsin. With some gentle encouragement from family, they sadly parted ways with their Bayfield home in 2005 and settled in Brookfield, WI, enjoying many good and healthy years being closer to family. Bob was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton an Doris Brunner; sister, Bette (the late Walter) Rydeen and brother, William (the late Vera) Brunner. Beloved husband of Marceline (nee Lamb) for 56 years. Devoted father of Daniel (Abby) Brunner, Meredith "Molly" (David) Engelbrecht, Jeffrey Denice) Brunner and Stephen Brunner. Loving grandpa of Adam, Amelia (Daniel), Madeleine, John, Henry, Matthew, Jeremy, Sarah, Rachel, Aaron and Samuel. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, Saturday, May 24, from 2:00-4:45 PM. Funeral Service at 5:00 PM. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and an enthusiastic hobbyist.
