or of Arts degree in 1957, and a Masters of Education in 1963. He moved to Iowa in 1958 and taught school in Paullina and Cherokee, Iowa. On August 13, 1960 Chuck was united in marriage to Sandra Sumpter. He began his career with the State of Iowa in 1969. He worked as a counselor in Northwest Iowa for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. The family moved to Fort Dodge in 1977 where he served as a counselor and district supervisor until his retirement in 1994. During his retirement Chuck enjoyed his family, winter travel to Arizona and of course his golf. He was an avid sports fan who rarely missed watching his favorite sporting events on TV. He was a beloved St. Louis Cardinal fan and followed the Notre Dame Irish and the Iowa Hawkeyes in football. He will be remembered for his wit, his sense of humor and his devotion to his family. The family would like to thank all the special people of Friendship Haven, the Marian Home and the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home who took loving care of Chuck. Memorials may be left to the Paula J.
