David John Vergeront

MADISON - David John Vergeront died on May 25, 2014 of natural causes at the age of 69. David received a Bachelor of Science degree from UW Madison in 1967 and a law degree from UW Law School in 1970. He was proud to be a Badger and was a big supporter of UW's Athletic Department. David took great joy in helping others, giving of himself with no thought of any reward. The satisfaction of the act of helping was more than sufficient. Family was everything to him and he cherished the times when he and his family would gather together to celebrate the various milestones of his parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. David retired from the practice of law in 2010. During his 40 years of practice, he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues not only for his great legal abilities but also for the integrity that was a hallmark of his practice. He is survived by his three children, Meg Vergeront Klas (Kevin Klas), John W. Vergeront (Kathryn), and David E. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cress Funeral Services, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, Wisconsin.
