avel and made numerous trips to Ireland with her family. She enjoyed nature and watching the birds at her home on Potter Hill amongst all her beautiful oak trees. Marilyn was a very caring and giving person who could talk to anyone and make them feel like an old friend. Her Catholic faith was very important to her, attending mass, being Eucharist minister and spending many hours in prayer at the Adoration Chapel. Marilyn moved into the Good Samaritan Center in February, 2011, where she died on May 31st, 2014, at the age of 81. She is survived by five children, all of Algona: Michael (Peg) McCall, Maureen (Walt) Krahenbuhl, Deirdre (Rob) Schultz, Daniel McCall, and Kathleen (Steve) Koob; 13 grandchildren,: Jeanne, Stephen, Hannah, Daniel, Nora, Henry, Luke, Sarah, Mariah, Shane, Neal, Myles, and Aidan; and two great-grandchildren: Aubreigh and Isaiah. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Joan Yonkman of Redwood City, CA, Midge Zeigenhagen of Henderson, NV and Mary Lee Kleier of Henderson, NV, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen on Oct. 3, 2012, her parents and her brother Richard.
