Marjorie Ellen Helms

Marjorie E. Helms Marge Helms, formerly of Arrowhead Road in the Town of Grafton, went to walk with her Lord in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her residence in Grafton. She was 92 years old. Marge was born in Lodi, WI on February 22, 1922, daughter of James Buchanan and Della McBrayer Buchanan. On June 29, 1946 she married Kenneth Helms at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. The couple settled on the family homestead, Avonstead Farms in the Town of Grafton to raise their family. Marge was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, where she was active in the Women's Guild. She was also a member of Ozaukee Homemakers Club, a 4H leader and enjoyed reading, gardening, baking and walking in her spare time. "Nana" treasured her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marge is survived by her four children: Thomas (Sherry) Helms of Athelstane, Kathleen (Thomas) Lubner of Grafton, Paul Helms of Grafton and Kristine (Patrick Doyle) Helms of Germantown. She is preceded in death by her husband, 8 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral Tuesday, June 17th , 6 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., Grafton. She will be laid to rest in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 4-6 PM. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church appreciated.
