Allen Olson

Allen Joe Olson was born on July 10, 1964, in Luverne, Minnesota to Martin and Darlene (Westerbur) Olson. He was baptized and later confirmed at the Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. He received his education from Luverne Public High School and then attended Mankato State College for Business. Allen lived in Luverne and Worthington before moving to Windom in 2011. He loved to play games, especially cribbage with his daughter, Shelby and her fiancé, Dallas. He enjoyed watching sports with his family, playing card games, collecting cassettes, CD's, DVD's, and anything to do with the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. Allen's favorite thing to do was spending time with his two loves of his life, Sarah and Shelby. Allen passed away suddenly on Friday evening, June 13, 2014 at the Windom Area Hospital. He is survived by his fiancé, Sarah Veenker of Windom; daughter, Shelby Veenker and her fiancé, Dallas Young, of Windom; two brothers, Rick Olson of Minneapolis and Dean Olson of Minneapolis; one sister, Marcia Hilliard of San Antonio, TX; and nieces and nephews.
