Sally Ann Petty

Sally Ann Petty, 77, of Keokuk, died at 1:18 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Keokuk Area Hospital. Sally Ann was born October 14, 1936, in Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter of Ralph and Rosemary Ewers Hechler. She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and had been employed at Sheller Globe, Big G Foods, and Hy-Vee. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, and was a fan of St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR, and Iowa Hawkeyes. She is survived by five children, Pam (Brad) Nuss of Dayton, Ohio, Mike (Julie) Petty of Argyle, Iowa, Mark (Chris) Petty of Keokuk, Tom (Michelle) Petty of Wayland, Missouri, and Kathy (Tim) Coop of Clarksville, Tennessee; and a sister Mary Jane (John) Lambert of Johnston, Iowa. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Hechler. Visitation will be after 3:00 Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 1212 Concert with family meeting friends from 6 to 8.
