Paul Gooch, passed away suddenly of natural causes on July 1, 2014 at his home in Port Washington. He was 56 years old. Paul was born May 10, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Ross and Cynthia Stetson Gooch. While growing up, his family lived in Chicago and Watseka, Illinois, Hopewell, Indiana, Pennington, New Jersey, Pleasantville, New York, and Neenah, WI. Paul graduated from Neenah High School in 1976, and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He later resided in Troy, Michigan before moving to Milwaukee. On August 13, 1988, he was united in marriage with Connie May in Milwaukee. Their daughter Meghan, the love of his life, was born March 18, 1992. He worked at Chrysler Corporation in Troy, for many years at the Manpower Corporate Headquarters and Press Color Inc., both in Milwaukee, and most recently at Kleen Test Products in Port Washington. He had been active in the congregation of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, both as an elder and serving on a variety of committees. her survived by his father Ross of Wooster, Ohio and siblings: Ruth Goode of Madison Heights, Mich., Lois (Greg) Marler of Naples, Fla., and Mark (Cheryl) Gooch of Wooster, Ohio; nieces and nephews: Emily Waites, Leah Goode, Brian and Justin Marler, and Peter and Jacob Gooch, Special family friends Steve and Lisa Robillard and sons Patrick and James and their families, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, an uncle John Gooch, uncle and aunt Kirk and Bernice Stetson, and grandparents Paul and Lois Stetson and Darrell and Ruth Gooch. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Rev. Dr. Ed Rafferty will preside. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-3PM. In Paul's honor, the family requests you wear your finest tie dye. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
