Stephanie LeeAnna Dahl, 44, of South Sioux City, passed away Friday, July 4th, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer at a hospital in Omaha. Memorial services will be held 10 am Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City. Visitation will be held at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City on Tuesday 5-8 pm, with a Prayer service at 7 pm. Burial will be at a later time in Omaha Valley Cemetery, Homer, Nebraska. Stephanie was born on December 5, 1969 in Sioux City, the daughter of Michael and Peggy Bucy. She graduated from Gothenburg High School in the class of 1988 and from Wayne State College, and later from Western Iowa Tech. She married Thomas W. Dahl on May 4th, 1990. They celebrated their 24th anniversary this past May. They have four children; Tomi Jo, Karlie, Chase, and Kaden. Stephanie opened the Dahl House preschool and ran a home daycare after working at the Boy's and Girl's home in South Sioux. She was a South Sioux City council member, a volunteer firefighter, dedicated to her community, and a Scentsy consultant in her spare time. She was a member of Sunnybrook Church. st grandson Jackson, born in February. She was constantly cheering her kids on during their numerous sporting events. She organized parties and gatherings for every possible occasion and loved to be surrounded by friends and family. She had a love for food, adventure, Hazel, Dexter, and Chip (her beloved dogs) and was always helping anyone who needed an extra hand. She and Tom loved to garage sale and take frequent motorcycle rides. She is survived by her husband, Tom, and four children, Tomi Jo (Jon), Karlie, Chase, and Kaden; her grandson Jackson Jae Michael Moss, all of South Sioux City; parents, Mike and Peg Bucy of Decatur, Ne; grandparents, Jerry and Barbara Bates of Decatur; in-laws, Jug and JoAnn Dahl of South Sioux City; sister, Tessa (Nate) Darling of Niceville, Fl; sister in-law, Sandy Eddie of Coleridge; brothers in-law, Rick Dahl of Jackson, Ne and Pat (Nannette) Linsley of Ponca, Ne; special friend Jill (Scott) Love of South Sioux City; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dale Gatewood, and infant niece Cara Eddie.
