Clifford A. "Cliff" Smith LIME CITY, Iowa -- Clifford A. "Cliff" Smith, 86, of Lime City, Iowa, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, Iowa. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Bentley Funeral Homes in Durant. Burial will take place in Lime City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014, at the funeral home. Cliff was born on April 20, 1928, in Barda, Nebraska, to William and Leatha Evans Smith. Cliff married Doris A. Proctor on February 24, 1950, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2013. He worked as a maintenance man for the Pearl Works in Muscatine, the Bendix Inc. in Davenport, and Louis Rich in West Liberty before retiring in 1991. Cliff enjoyed watching WWE wrestling. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved to be outside in his garden. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them.
