s, Texas, where he started Richland Foods. They returned to South Sioux City in 1978 and were self-employed until their retirement in 1999. Saundra passed away on March 14, 2012 after 52 years of marriage. Gene was a member of the South Sioux City American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed raising and riding horses with his own children, and boating and skiing with his family. Survivors include his children, Toni (Steve) Cronin, Tracy (Joe) Keefer, Patrick (Lora) Crowe, 7 grandchildren, Erika (Brian) Arp, Ashley and Andrew Cronin, Kody and Karter Keefer, and Brandon and Kelly Crowe; 2 great-grandchildren, Beckett and Grady Arp; one sister, Mary Engel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Benetta Crowe; his wife, Saundra "Sally"; and 7siblings. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the South Sioux City American Legion or St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, NE.
