Eldon "Bud" Johnson, 84, of Fort Dodge, died August 19, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Eldon R. Johnson, the son of Ernest and Harriet (Hill) Johnson, was born May 25, 1930 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge schools. On May 15, 1970, Eldon was united in marriage to Rosemary Fuller. The couple raised their family and made their home in Fort Dodge. Bud was employed with Land O' Lakes for nearly 30 years and for National Gypsum for 15 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed time spent with family, woodworking and gardening.
Survivors include his wife Rosie, his children Susan Masiclot and Rick Johnson both of Norfolk, VA and Mark Campbell of Dakota Dunes, SD, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his sister Fern Horton and step brothers Ross Johnson of Lincoln, NE and Roy Johnson of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Violet Rykhus.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21 in Otho Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services are handling the arrangements.
