Roger Wyant, 59, of rural Malvern passed away at his home on September 2, 2014 with his family by his side. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014, at the Tabor Congregational United Church of Christ in Tabor, Iowa. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the church in Tabor. Private family inurnment will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Tabor Fire & Rescue or Hospice of Southwest Iowa. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood, Iowa in charge of arrangements. Roger Harold Wyant, one of three children of Robert Vernon and Barbara Lee (Omer) Wyant, was born on August 12, 1955 in Hamburg, Iowa. He attended school in Tabor, Iowa and graduated in 1973 from the Fremont Mills High School. Following graduation, Roger attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and attained his Associate's Degree in Ag Business. He returned to the family farm and partnered with his father, Robert, until his death in 1988. He took over the duties of Rawles Township clerk from his father and was a member of the CC Rider Association, Tabor Volunteer Fire Department, Mills-Fremont Rural Fire Protective Association and was one of the head "chicken cookers" for the Waubonsie Gun Club. Roger passed away at his home on the family farm in rural Malvern, Iowa surrounded by his loved ones on September 2, 2014, at the age of 59 years and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his parents. Roger is survived by his wife Carolyn (Lally) Williams Wyant of Malvern; children, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Wyant of Tabor, Adam (Shelly) Wyant of Malvern, Stephanie (Matt) Bunyan of St. Louis, MO, and Marty (Erin) Williams of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Janaan (Alan) Wright of Glenwood, IA, and Lorraine (Jeff) Zanders of Malvern; aunt, Susan Dunmire of Malvern; uncle, Glen Nosekabel of Kismet, KS; and numerous extended family and friends.
