Ronald Pritchard, 68, of Manson, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Ron's wishes were to be cremated and to have no public services.
Ron is survived by his wife, Susan; their two sons, Tim (Yvonne) Pritchard of Virginia and Brian Pritchard (Tina Swanson) of Manson; five grandchildren, Brandon, Brayden, Alissa, Brittney, T.J. and two great grandchildren, Eli and Lane. He is also survived by his two sisters, Rosie Allen of Pomeroy and Margaret Hansen of Denver, Colorado.
Ronald Eugene Pritchard, the son of Marvin and Hazel (Walden) Pritchard, was born January 15, 1946 in Manson, Iowa and graduated from Manson High School in 1964. Ron served as a Communication Specialist in the United States Navy for nine years and then served in the Navy Reserves for four years. While stationed at Pensacola, Florida Ron married Susan Brown on November 21, 1964. In 1973, Ron started trucking with his father. He owned and operated the Ronald Pritchard Trucking in Manson retiring just a year ago. For the last two winter Ron and Susan camped in Florida. Ron was raised in the Catholic Faith.[more]
