Joyce A.M. Hoesing

Joyce A.M. Hoesing, 89, of Vermillion, SD, formerly of Newcastle, NE passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Newcastle, NE with Father Andrew L. Sohm officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Newcastle. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Peter's Parish Hall in Newcastle. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE. Joyce was born on December 25, 1924 in Arundel, England, the daughter of Oliver and Ada (Armstrong) Ayling. She married Harold F. Hoesing on April 13, 1945 at St. Philip Neri Cathedral in Arundel, England. She came to the U.S. as a war bride aboard SS Bridgeport in February of 1946. She became a U.S. Citizen in 1994. Joyce enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
