Lisa Louise (Hughes) Burrell, 50 of Sioux City, IA passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sioux City, IA with Dr. Floyd E. Brown officiating. Visitation with the family present will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Lisa was born on May 16, 1964 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Velmer and Ardith (Kellogg) Hughes. She grew up in the Emerson area and graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Wayne State College. After college, she worked at Pearl Vision and then managed Eyemart. Lisa was a member of, and very active in Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was always smiling, had a winning personality and positive attitude. She loved the Lord.
