in October of 1956. He had eight weeks of basic training in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas then twelve weeks of Advance Training in Communications with Voice Morse Code in Operation of Radios in Fort Chaffee. Norman then spent eighteen and half months in Berlin, Germany with the 6th Infantry Division Headquarters Company. After being released from active duty in October of 1958 with the rank of SPEC 3rd Class, Norman served in the Army Reserves for four years. He was honorably discharged in October of 1962. On January 7, 1960 Norman was united in marriage to Mary Ann Baker in St. Mary's in Pomeroy. Norman farmed for 41 years east of Manson. In 2001, Mary Ann and he moved into Manson. Norman was a member of the Knights of Columbus serving as a 4th Degree Knight. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. Norman was an avid John Deere collector and he had the unmatched collection to prove it. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
