Vincent G. "Jimmy" Zaffarano

Vincent G. Zaffarano, 83 of Montgomeryville, formerly of Ambler, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in the Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Ambler, PA, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Theresa (nee Trofa) Zaffarano. Vince served in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant with the Civil Engineering Squad during the Korean and Vietnam War for over 20 years prior to his retirement in 1975.He then started his second career with Air Vent Systems in Ambler before he retired in 2003. He was a Life Member of the NRA and a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. He had served as a volunteer fire fighter in Maine while in the Air Force. Mr. Zaffarano is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary J. (nee Devlin) Zaffarano and is the devoted father of Vincent G. (Debra) Zaffarano, Jr. of Ottsville, Donna F. (Bryan) Klinck of North Wales, Paula A. (Tim) Schuller of Media, Melanie L. (Michael Carotenuto) Zaffarano of Ambler. He is the loving Pops of Adrienne (Chris Healey), Lindsay James, the late Daniel, Kimberlee, Adam, Jordan, Timothy, Jr, and Zachary; and Great Grand Pops of Carter James and The future Logan John.
