Paul L. Reed CONESVILLE, Iowa--Paul Lee Reed, 76, of Conesville, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment will take place in Klein Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the funeral home. Paul was born on March 20, 1938, in Muscatine, the son of Harry and Mabel Caterson Reed. On August 5, 1979, Paul was united into marriage to Evelyn Solomon. Paul was an entrepreneur, painter by trade and had owned and operated the Redwood motel and restaurant. He was a member of the Painters Union, Moose Lodge, Dads Club, FFA. Paul enjoyed Farm History, antique cars and his goats. Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Evelyn Reed of Conesville; seven children, Mark Reed of Davenport, Sherry Leonard and husband, Larry, of Muscatine, Laurie Freeman of Muscatine, Kathy Schrier of Iowa City, Angie Parks of Davenport, Jenny Reed of Davenport, and Matt Reed and wife, Kristin, of Altoona; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildr...[more]
