Rita Pauline Brockman, 67, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Rita is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Dean Dornath and his wife Stacey; David Jakeman Jr. and his wife Michelle all of Fort Dodge; step-sons, Robert Brockman; David Brockman both of Laurens; step-daughters, Melissa Brockman; Nicole Brockman both of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Tanner Weinzetl; Emma and Keaton Dornath; Trice, Tori and Trigg Jakeman; sister, Flora Stein of Webster City and brother David Lara of Los Angeles, CA. ez. Rita Pauline Lara was born February 8, 1947 in Fort Dodge. She was raised by her grandparents Steve and Julia Porrez. She was educated in Fort Dodge graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Following her education she was united in marriage to Ronald (Peanuts) Dornath the couple were later divorced. Rita was then married to David Jakeman Sr. and the couple later divorced. Rita was employed with Central Lab for 25 years and later Electrolux, retiring in 2001. On October 28, 2000, Rita was united in marriage to Robert Brockman at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. She had a very strong faith, loved her family, especially her 2 boys and all her grandchildren. Rita was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
