Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. On December 2, 1950, Donald was united in marriage to Minnie Mammenga at Sacred Heart Church and established their home in Fort Dodge. Donald served in the United States Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1953. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. Donald was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed volunteering for "Meals on Wheels" for many years. He also participated in musicals and comedies, was a very active member of the VFW, and was a leader of "Man to Man" support group for prostate cancer. Don truly was a "Jack-of-all-Trades". Memorials may be left in discretion of the family.
