Harold W. Trumbull Jr. URBANDALE, Iowa -- Harold W. Trumbull Jr. passed away peacefully on December 11, 2014. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Hamilton's, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to services. Per Harold's wishes, his body was donated to the University of Iowa. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society and Heartland Presbyterian Church-Building Fund. Harold was born on August 17, 1931, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Elta Dains and Harold Trumbull Sr. Harold grew up in Kansas and Missouri before moving to Chariton, Iowa, in 1970, where he resided until 2005. He was a member of the National Guard and worked for Hy-Vee for over 44 years. Harold started as a bagger and worked his way up to store manager and eventually district supervisor. At the end of his career, he served as Assistant Vice President of Equipment Purchasing. Harold enjoyed fine dining, Italian wine, jazz music and traveling the world with his wife.
